Thomas Swinney Jr., 94, husband of the late Elizabeth E. Clemons Swinney, died Friday, April 27, 2018 at Friendship Health & Rehab in Pewee Valley. He was born in Louisville August 28, 1923 the son of the late Thomas & Mayme McElvain Swinney Sr.
Thomas was a World War II Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated Swinney Lawn Service & Landscaping which he started in the 1970's. Thomas was also a member of the Crestwood United Methodist Church and the Middletown VFW.
Thomas leaves his son, Thomas Swinney III (Tina) to cherish his memory along with a sister, Margaret Fisher, brothers, Kenneth, Billie, Gene, Phil and Jim, grandchildren, Sean Swinney (Diane) and Wendy Buschmann (Ron), great grandchildren, Jake Arnold and Ryan Swinney.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ray and a sister, Elsie.
