Paul Vincent Gleeson

Paul Vincent Gleeson, 86, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on August 2, 2026.

Paul was born on November 3, 1939, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Francis and Gertrude Gleeson.

Paul proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Marlene Gleeson; his sons, Joseph Gleeson and Christopher Gleeson (Nikki); and his grandchildren, Chantel Gleeson (Alex), Ciara Gleeson (Andy), Ian Gleeson (Christin), Madeline Gleeson (Sam), and Vincent Gleeson. He was also blessed with his great-grandchildren, Ava Linov, Patrick Linov, Sage Gleeson, and Iris Gleeson.

Paul was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Gleeson (Roxanne).

Paul graduated from St. Xavier High School. Paul enjoyed many things in life, including golfing, cheering on UofL, and playing cards. Above all, he was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his family and treasured every moment with them.

Visitation will take place at Louisville Memorial Gardens East on August 22, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hosparus Health of Louisville in appreciation for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Paul during his final days.
