Pamela Judith (Bucci) Jackson

Pamela Judith (Bucci) Jackson, age 81, of Prospect, Kentucky passed away to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Pamela was known as "Pam" to her family and friends and affectionately called "Gma" by her grandsons. Pam, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend will always be remembered for her love for the Lord, her optimistic zest for life, compassion, generosity, devotion to her family and loyalty to her friends.

Pam was born in Youngstown, Ohio to William Bucci and Nancy (Colla) Bucci, on July 28, 1942. Pam was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 59 years, Kenneth “Ken” Jackson; daughters, Kirstin, and Tamara; son, Kenneth “Ken”; grandsons, Benjamin, and Joshua Jackson; sisters, Patricia (Anthony) Markovicz, Paulette (Paul) Policy, Holly Ann (Michael) Bokesch; brother-in-law, Gary Jackson, her nieces, and nephew.

Pam was a devoted Christian and member of New Life Church for many years. She was strong in her faith and made sure everyone knew that Jesus loved them. She boldly shared the gospel message of salvation with everyone she met. Pam was a graduate of Struthers High School in Youngstown, Ohio, class of 1960. She attended Youngstown State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Ohio University in 1967. Professionally, she taught elementary school kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades before she decided to stay home to raise three children. Pam was proud to be a Mary Kay Cosmetics Independent Beauty Consultant for 45 years. Pam also worked alongside her husband Ken as a medical technician in the pacemaker industry. Pam’s community involvement included the Bellarmine University Women’s Council, Community Bible Study (CBS), The Compass Club, Derby City Newcomers and Neighbors, La Leche League International, and the Republicans Women Club of Louisville, Kentucky. Pam enjoyed volunteering at the nonprofit, BsideU for Life and oversaw the baby bottle campaign at her church. She was an exceptional cook, enjoyed cooking for those she loved and always took food to friends in need.

A visitation will be held on July 6, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life service from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at New Life Church, 3402 Goose Creek Road, Louisville, KY 40241. A private burial will be held for the family in Youngstown, Ohio. The family has requested that friends and family attending Pam’s Celebration of Life service wear their favorite color in memory of Pam as she loved vibrant colors.
