Niklaus James Poindexter

Niklaus James Poindexter, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on January 5, 2026.

Niklaus was born on January 5, 2026, to Steven Lee Wade Poindexter Jr. and Autumn Marie Bowser.

He is survived by his parents and his brothers, Jaxon Poindexter and Steven Poindexter III. Niklaus is also survived by his grandparents, Michelle O'Reilly-Hayes (Daniel Quinn Jr.), Steven Poindexter Sr., and Shere'e Poindexter.

He is survived by his great-grandparents, Margaret Gaines-Harris (Bruce), Keaven Poindexter (Cheryl), Max C. Bowser, and Connie Causey. He is also survived by his uncles, Max J. Bowser, Tolbert Feltner, Chris Gill, and Robert Ochman (Jessica), and by his aunts, Kinlee Poindexter, Reilly Hayes, April Bowser, and Alexis Barr (Jamie), along with several step-aunts.

Niklaus was preceded in death by his grandfather, James William Bowser; his great-great-grandfather, Bernice Gaines; his great-great-grandmother, Sue Gaines; and his uncle, Brice Poindexter.

Niklaus will forever be remembered as Momma’s precious angel and Daddy’s baby boy.

Visitation will take place at Louisville Memorial Gardens East on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m., with burial immediately afterward at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
