Martha Lee Loveless

July 6, 1943 — March 10, 2025

Martha Lee Loveless, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025. Born on July 6, 1943, she was the beloved daughter of the late Bullie Reed Moore and Anna Lee Moore.

Martha dedicated many years of her life to serving others as a cashier at Walmart, where her warm smile and kind heart left a lasting impact on those she met. She is survived by the love of her life, Richard Bowles, who stood by her side in unwavering devotion.

A wonderful and loving mother, Martha was blessed with four beautiful children: Teresa McGaughey (Daniel), Lisa Cole (Freddie), Tommy McGaughey, and Eddie McGaughey (Jessica). Along with Richard’s children Tony Bowles and Lesha Ward. She is also survived by her dear brother, Leonard Moore, and her cherished grandchildren: Sunshine, Jason, Amber, Devin, Tyler, Nicholas, Mathew, and Jossalin. Her legacy continues through her 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, whom she adored. She is now reunited in heaven with her mom, dad, and sweet brother, Reed Moore.

Martha had a passion for sports, especially cheering on her beloved University of Louisville teams. She also enjoyed the thrill of gambling and scratch-off tickets, always hoping for a lucky win. A lover of the outdoors, she found peace in golfing and fishing, and her creative spirit shined through her arts and crafts, where she lovingly made keepsakes for those closest to her.

Known for her huge heart, Martha was a fierce advocate for the less fortunate, always finding ways to help those in need. Her generosity was unmatched, especially during her favorite holiday, Christmas, when she would thoughtfully plan gifts all year long to bring joy to her loved ones. She was one of the most selfless and compassionate souls, always putting others before herself.

Above all, Martha cherished her family and treasured every moment spent with them. Her love, kindness, and unwavering generosity will forever be remembered.

The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Martha’s honor.
