Lois Roberts

June 29, 1927 — June 12, 2026

Lois Roberts (Koenigsberg) went to be with her Savior on June 12, 2026, at the age of 98, just shy of her 99th birthday, while residing at The Springs at Oldham Reserve in La Grange, Kentucky.

Lois was born on June 29, 1927, in Sheffield, Iowa, to Ole and Martha Koenigsberg. She married the love of her life, Malcolm Harold Roberts, on July 2, 1955, and together they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this past year.

Lois and Harold met and fell in love in California while Lois was working at a savings and loan institution. She was the last surviving member of the ten Koenigsberg children, having been preceded in death by one sister and eight brothers.

Throughout Harold’s ministry as a Navy chaplain and later as a pastor, the family lived in many places across the United States and overseas. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Lois worked as a receptionist, office administrator, survey researcher, and newsletter editor. She was also deeply involved in the life and ministry of her local church.

After retiring from pastoral ministry, Lois and Harold served faithfully with the American Red Cross, traveling to numerous disaster-relief sites. Lois enjoyed traveling—especially with Toby Tours—fishing, playing games, shopping at Costco, and dining out with family and friends.

More than anything else, Lois loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was known as a faithful prayer warrior whose family, friends, and fellow church members often called upon her in times of need. Whenever someone had a special prayer request, they knew Lois would faithfully bring it before her Heavenly Father.

Lois is survived by her beloved husband, Malcolm Harold Roberts; her sons, Mark (Debbie) Roberts and Michael (Diana) Roberts; five grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
