Lillie Yount

Lillie Yount, 88, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on August 28, 2026.

Lillie was born on January 29, 1938, to the late Loyd and Erman Cockeril.

She is survived by her brother, Lloyd Cockeril, and her two sons, David Yount (Seth) and Steve Yount (Betty). Lillie was blessed with several grandchildren: Amanda, Misty, Ashlee, Amy, Dane, and Mary. She was also blessed with several great-grandchildren: Autumn, Avery, Brady, and Baker.

Lillie was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Bramblett; her daughter, Shirley Lynn; and her two sons, Jerry Yount and Roger Yount.

Lillie loved to have fun and was always wonderful to be around. She had a joyful spirit and especially loved to dance. She will be remembered for the happiness she brought to those around her and will be deeply missed by her family and loved ones.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
