Laurence James Corts

Laurence James Corts, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on September 17, 2026.

Laurence was born on September 16, 1945, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, to the late Alex and Sarah Corts.

Laurence is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth Ann (Cooper) Corts; his daughter, Christine Miller (Jason); and his beautiful grandchildren, Abigail Miller and Andrew Miller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Laurence was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Corts.

Laurence was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan and loved car racing, visiting his hometown Waupun, Wisconsin, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He attended Waupun High School, graduating in 1963. He then attended Milwaukee School of Engineering, graduating in 1970. Laurence was employed by ComEd in Chicago for 25 years and retired in 1996.

He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Laurence will be remembered for his love for family, his grandchildren, and the many simple joys he shared with those around him.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Operation Smile or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Funeral services will be private for the family at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
