Laurence James Corts, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on September 17, 2026.

Laurence (Larry) James Corts, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away at his home on September 17, 2026.

He was born on September 16, 1945, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, to the late Alex and Sarah (Herrington) Corts.

Laurence is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Ruth Ann (Cooper) Corts; his daughter, Christine Miller (Jason); and his beautiful grandchildren, Abigail Miller and Andrew Miller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Corts.

Larry was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan, loved his cars and auto racing, visiting his hometown of Waupun, Wisconsin, and spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren.

He was a 1963 graduate of Waupun High School, Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1970, and was employed by ComEd in Chicago for 25 years, retiring in 1996.

Larry was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Louisville, and will be fondly remembered for his love of family, his grandchildren, and the many simple joys he shared with those around him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation Smile of St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Private funeral services were held at Louisville Memorial Gardens East in Louisville.
