Kimberly Ann Burkhard

Kym Burkhard, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026.

Kym spent much of her life in Louisville and was known for the love she had for her family and for a career that meant so much to her.

Kym truly loved her career with Semonin Realty. Her work in real estate was a big part of her life, and she took great pride in what she did. She valued the people she worked with and the many friendships and relationships she formed throughout her career.

Kym adored her grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them. She will always be remembered for the special bond she shared with them.

Kym is survived by her mother, Sue LaSalle; her daughters, Elizabeth Burkhard and Robyn Whelan; her grandchildren, Samantha Campbell, Jacob Campbell, Brittany Raley Watson, John Raley Jr., Audrey Whelan, Adrianne Whelan, and Max Whelan; her sisters, Patti Cahill, Mauri Malka, and Cathy Green Matarazzo; and her former husband, Mark Burkhard.

Kym will be remembered for the career she loved, the relationships she built, and the love she shared with her family and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed and forever loved. 

Graveside service will take place on September 22, 2026, at 1:00pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
