Julie Kay Hardin

Julie Kay Hardin, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on April 20, 2026.

Julie was born on July 26, 1956, to the late Filmore and Hermoine Hammargren.

She is survived by her children, Shelly Moss (Steve) and John Scheufeli (Misty). Julie is also survived by her siblings, Cathy Wright and her twin brother, Jack Hammargren.

Julie was blessed with several grandchildren: Eric, Dillon, Andrew, Joe, Ashley, and Nick, as well as her great-grandchild, Crew.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Hammargren.

Julie enjoyed reading and beach vacations, and she loved the ocean. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren, family, friends, and neighbors. Her family described her as loving, caring, and funny. She had a deep love for animals and is also survived by her beloved cats, Bella and Felix. Julie also had a strong faith in God.

Graveside services will take place at Louisville Memorial Gardens East on June 5, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

The family asks that, in Julie’s honor, donations be made to Hospice of Louisville, Kentucky.
