Jeroline Rachel Bierman

Jeroline Rachel Bierman, 89, of Crestwood, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Born on September 30, 1935, to the late William and Louise Horstman, Jeroline lived a life defined by kindness, resilience, and deep devotion to her loved ones.

She is now reunited in heaven with the love of her life, August Leslie Bierman, with whom she shared many joyful years. Jeroline dedicated much of her life to serving others as a school cafeteria worker, where she offered not only meals but care and warmth to generations of children.

Jeroline is survived by her loving children: Donald Bierman, David Bierman, and Melissa Griffin. She also leaves behind her sister, Charlotte Shaw, her daughter in law; Jan Bierman and many grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life: Justin Bierman, Michael Anthony Bierman, Michael Bierman, Rachel Smith (Duke), Hunter Bierman, and Jacob Griffin. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Chloe Smith, Brissa Smith, Audrey Smith, and Carter Bierman.

She now joins in eternal peace her parents, her beloved husband August, her son Mike Bierman, her grandson Brandon Bierman, her brothers William and Bobby Horstman, and her son-in-law Randy Griffin.

Jeroline lived life with a gentle heart and a vibrant spirit. She loved fishing, especially when it meant being near the water she adored. She enjoyed gambling on the boat, she loved taking care of her flowers and working in her yard, and found great peace sitting by the lake. She cherished her weekend visits by her sons and grandsons and she enjoyed her vacations with the girls over the years. She loved family get togethers and playing cards. More than anything, she loved being with her family, who will miss her deeply but carry her memory with unwavering love.

Visitation will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens East on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM, with burial at 2:00 PM at the same location.
