Eloise June Lucas

Eloise June Lamb was born on July 7, 1929, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to parents Everett and Hazel.  She was an only child and had a solitary childhood.  She filled her time by reading and spent a lot of time with relatives.   

At age 17 she married Robert J. Lucas and lived in Chicago, while Bob attended school, followed by Cincinnati.  They had a baby in 1950 and named her Sandra Lee.  The marriage dissolved after about 40 years. 

Eloise was a waitress and a Property Manager during her working years and worked till age 78.  At age 88, she moved to Louisville, Kentucky.   

She is survived by her daughter, Sandi; and her three Grandchildren, Steve (Whitney), Susan (Mitch) and Tom; and her four Great-Grandchildren, Noah, Maya, Lucas and Jaxson.   

She is at peace now and will be greatly missed.  She passed on May 18, 2024, at the age of 94 of a heart attack.  Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association in Eloise’s name. 

A Celebration of Eloise’s Life will take place on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Homes East, 11601 Ballardsville Road, from 12:30 PM until 2:30 PM.
