Betty Webster Riley

Betty Webster Riley, 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on September 15, 2026, with her family by her side.

Betty was born on June 25, 1943, in LaGrange, Kentucky, to the late Orville and Ruthie B. Webster.

She is survived by her children, Todd Riley and Shannon Young (Stephen); and her grandchildren, Hamilton Stephen Young, Peyton Ruth Young, and Harrison Todd Young. She is also survived by her brother, Bobby Webster (Diane), and her sister, Kathy Payne.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry Houston, and her sisters, Patsy McCarley and Jane Gould.

Betty enjoyed playing the piano and organ for her church. She dearly loved her grandchildren and had a wonderful sense of humor that brought laughter to those around her. She enjoyed fishing, flowers, and tending to her beautiful flower gardens. Betty also maintained her own vegetable garden, where she grew and canned her own vegetables.

A huge Elvis Presley fan, Betty had many interests and was always involved in her community. She was a CASA volunteer for children, prepared taxes, and was a member of a Bunco club for many years, where she enjoyed playing with her friends. Betty and Harry were also avid UK fans and Betty enjoyed bike riding.

Betty was a beloved member of Mount Tabor United Methodist Church. She will be remembered for her loving heart, sense of humor, dedication to others, and the joy she brought to her family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens East in the mausoleum from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will take place at 11:00am with entombment to follow.
